Education
Holy
Trinity Parish is particularly committed
to the education of its members—especially
its children and teens—as Christ commanded
us: “Go, therefore, and make disciples
of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and
of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe
all that I have commanded you” (Matthew
28:19-20a). Having built its own Catholic
school in 1901 to fulfill this Gospel
mandate, Holy Trinity has a long history
of educating its young people.
Today,
Holy Trinity provides several different
education programs to meet the needs of
all its parishioners.
Holy Trinity Grade
School
Holy Trinity Grade School has as its mission
to form a community of faith
based on the teaching of Jesus Christ
and to cultivate knowledge by promoting
a Catholic way of life through Gospel
values and a commitment to academic excellence.
All
children—parishioners and non-parishioners,
Catholics and non-Catholics alike—are
welcome to enroll in our school for their
K-6 education. If you are interested in
a tour of our facilities or would like
to learn more about our school, please
contact the principal, Mrs Stacy Uttecht, by calling the school office at 402-254-6496.
Enrollment
for the current school year is 151 students
in grades K-6, with an average class size
of about 21 students.

Holy
Trinity Preschool
In addition to its elementary school program,
Holy Trinity is pleased to offer a first-class
preschool education with a certified teacher
in its own building at its newly renovated
site at 203 S. Capitol in Hartington.
The
preschool has as its mission to prepare
young children to participate successfully
in formal schooling. Parents and teachers
work cooperatively to assist them in developing
positive self-concepts. The uniqueness
of each child is the foundation for developing
the Christian attitudes of loving, helping,
sharing, and developing a relationship
with God.
Holy Trinity Preschool offers two program levels: Junior Kindergarten and Preschool. Our Junior Kindergarten is a five-day afternoon program intended to prepare children for entry into kindergarten the following year. Our Preschool program
is a three-day morning program intended to introduce children to learning in a classroom setting.
If
you are interested in a tour of our facilities
or would like to learn more about our
preschool, please contact the principal,
Mrs. Stacy Uttecht, at the school office by calling 402-254-6496.

Cedar
Catholic Jr.-Sr. High School
Holy Trinity is one of six parishes in
the area that support our local Catholic
high school. Formerly Holy Trinity High
School, Cedar Catholic now serves the
Catholic faithful across Cedar County
and beyond.
Religious
Education Program
The Catholic Church understands that the
education of children, especially with
regard to matters of faith, belongs first
and foremost to parents. As a parish community
Holy Trinity Parish is committed to assisting
parents in this responsibility by providing
a Religious Education Program and Youth Ministry Program apart from
our Catholic schools for all children
in grades K-12.
Family Formation is our program for elementary age students and their parents in grades K-6. Family Formation is held the first Wednesday of the month from 6:15-7:30 p.m. in the Holy Trinity School. Students meet in a classroom for faith building activities with a catechist while parents meet in the Holy Trinity gym for a presentation and activities with the priest or special presenter.
In particular, for families whose children attend HNPS, we will have another Wednesday night devoted to just the children in grades 1-6. We will not have Kindergarten. This will take place the third Wednesday of each month. It will begin at 6:15 and conclude at 7:30 pm.
Grades 7-8 meet at Holy trinity Rectory Conference Room every Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:45 - 8:00 to prepare for confirmation with instruction by Deacon Filips.
Y-Disciple is our high school youth ministry for students in grades 9-12. Y Disciple groups meet weekly, most usually wednesday evenings, at a time set by each group. Students are grouped according to grades and gender. Grade 9 and 10 boys and girls meet together at their Catechist's home. Grades 11 and 12 girls and boys meet separately at Catechist's homes. Y-Disciple groups engage in small group discussion, prayer, and team building activities.
For more information or to become involved in Holy Trinity youth ministry and discipleship, text or call Monica Kathol (402-841-5594).
